Yesterday I cooked with gf for five friends from China, America, India, and 巴基斯坦. We spent three hours on cooking five dishes. It was great to cook for friends because cooking is so much fun, sepically for friends. Joe, a silence guy with special sense of humor, kept talking with us. He comes from farm family with a big lake in Minnestoa. He knew how to use chopsticks and several kinds of water sports. At the first sight, he is shy. However, when I know him more, I realize he is a good listener and responser. He is just a slow heater. He need more time to get familiar with new friends. He has a magic power that makes people keep talking with him. Of course, the one wants to talk with him in advance. His major in undergraduate is psychology. That means he is my tutor in organizational behavior. You know, American is not good at his Math. I am his Math tutor now. The 巴基斯坦 friend is my roommate. He was born in America. We try to go jogging every two days. Although he is handsome and has good shape, he has never exercised for more than ten years. All muslims fast齋戒 this month. I attended their party before fast. Actually, it is a eating party. Why do muslims sit separately by gender, even at party. Anyway, it is a good thing to know different culture. Fei, a Chinese lady, enjoys her study in Cornell and enjoys her family life at Cornell. She is ambitious for knowledge and network. She said that my representation in orientation inspired her a lot. The boy( In her mind, I am so young) spoken poor English facing English speakers. After that, she try to take every chance to express her opinion at class. Her husband does postPHD reaserch in Cornell. Also, she likes to talk about her love stories. She always smiles with satisfcation. I like her becasue she know how to enjoy her life while devoting herself to studying. All in all, it is a good and long party. We talked a lot untill mid-night. Most important, they said we are good cooks. HEHEHE~ I am so happy.
